Boswell and partner Mason Seesing won the Class 1 District 1 title in doubles and helped the Bulldogs claim the district team title before advancing to the state tournament, where they won their opening match.
Alex Mailes
Cape Central sophomore
Mailes earned an all-state finish at the Class 2 individual state tournament despite being the youngest player in the field. He finish seventh in the state’s largest class and was also a individual and team district champion.
Derek Nunnery
Cape Central senior
Nunnery finished runner-up to teammate Alex Mailes at the Class 2 District 1 individual tournament. He served as the No. 2 player all season for the Tigers, who claimed the Class 2 District 1 team championship.
Mason Seesing
Notre Dame senior
Seesing combined with teammate Brendan Boswell to earn a spot in the Class 1 state doubles tournament, where the pair recorded the first ever state tournament win in boys tennis for the school.
Ben Wedemeier
Notre Dame senior
Wedemeier qualified for the Class 1 individual state tournament in addition to claiming the Class 1 District 1 individual championship. He also was the No. 1 player for the Bulldogs’ team district title win.
