2024 Girls Wrestling Finalists
Kayleigh Milam
Jackson
Milam had a massive year for the Jackson Indians as she eclipsed the 30-win mark, finishing with a dominant 32-12 record on the season. Milam also finished first in her division at the SEMO Conference Tournament and placed third at the district meet to earn a trip to state. Milam’s trip to state made her just the fifth-ever Jackson girls wrestler to advance to the state meet. Her 32 wins also marks the second most in school history behind Mallorie Metzger’s mark of 40 wins in a season.
Lily Ahlvin
Notre Dame
Ahlvin followed up her impressive junior season with an even better senior season. Ahlvin finished with a record of 16-9 and made it to the Class 1 State Tournament, a goal she had set for herself after suffering an injury in the district tournament last season as a junior. Despite falling in the consolation round, Ahlvin picked up an impressive win at the state tournament and built on her already spectacular resume at Notre Dame. Ahlvin earned her way to the state tournament with a fourth-place finish in districts.
Zoe Freeman
Poplar Bluff
Poplar Bluff junior Zoe Freeman made her third straight appearance in the state wrestling tournament, and this year, she placed third. Freeman collected her second district championship, placed first in the 2024 SEMO Conference Tournament for the third time, and was named the SEMO Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Female Wrestler award for the second consecutive year. Freeman has also inked her name into the Poplar Bluff wrestling history book by becoming the first girl to win 100 matches.
Ellie Douglass
Sikeston
Douglass fought her way to the top of the podium, narrowly missing gold and earning a hard-fought silver medal in the 100-pound weight class at the Class 1 State Meet. The junior’s impressive season, which included a 31-10 record and a second-place finish in the Class 1, District 1 Meet, reflects her dedication and tenacity.
Kimarhri Wilkins
Sikeston
Wilkins wrestled her way to a sixth-place finish at the Class 1 State Meet in the 140-pound weight class. She finished her senior season with an impressive 40-10 record. Wilkins also placed fourth at the Class 1, District 1 Meet.
