2024 Boys Soccer Finalists
Bryce Sides
Notre Dame
Sides was one of the most steady pieces for the Notre Dame Bulldogs in 2023. He did a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs as he led the team in goals, set up his teammates for goals, and also did his share of defending as well. With Sides graduating he is sure to leave a massive hole in all aspects of the game for Notre Dame as they embark on the 2024 season.
Diego Chahin
Notre Dame
Diego Chahin cemented himself as one of the best postseason players in the area in 2023. The senior scored three goals in as many games at some of the most opportune times to propel Notre Dame into the C3D1 championship game. While the Bulldogs couldn’t quite get over the hump, Chahin still made a massive impact in his senior campaign with the Bulldogs.
Luke Eggemeyer
Saxony Lutheran
Eggemeyer has been one of the mainstays of the Saxony Lutheran soccer program for the last four seasons. Once in again in 2023, he proved his value as the lone senior on a young Crusaders team. Eggemeyer had plenty of clutch moments in 2023 but perhaps none bigger than the game-tying goal he put home in a C2D1 contest against Perryville to set up an eventual Crusaders win to advance.
Aden Garris
Perryville
Garris was the go-to threat offensively for a dynamic Perryville attack. During the season, Pirates coach Jerry Fulton had high praise for the senior and the work he did in the offseason to prepare himself. Garris’ work paid off as he led the team in goals and led Perryville to a 13-8 season.
Aiden McMinn
Jackson
McMinn was one of the best goal-scorers in the area in 2023. He began the year by netting 5 goals in 5 games for the Indians. McMinn eventually would go on to lead the team in goals in 2023 and play a major role in the 17-4 season Jackson had.
Braden Thompson
Jackson
The junior goalkeeper had a big 2023 for the Jackson Indians. Thompson recorded 6 shutouts in the regular season to help lead the Indians to a 17-4 year. A 2-0 loss in districts ended the season for the Indians but doesn’t take away from the dominant season they had in the region. Thompson allowed 34 goals in 21 games in goal for Jackson.
Preston Schlichting
Cape Central
Known as one of the best goal scorers in the area, Schlichting showed why in 2023. The senior scored from all areas of the field and even posted a 5 goal performance in an 8-0 win over Fredericktown. With Schlichting graduating, the Cape Central Tigers will have to fill a big goal-scoring void in 2024.
Tristan Wiggins
Sikeston
Wiggins, a junior, played organized soccer for the first time since junior high and made an incredible impact on the pitch this past season for the Bulldogs. He scored an impressive 27 goals and recorded 13 assists, accumulating a total of 67 points throughout the season. His performance earned him recognition as an All-SEMO Conference selection. He played a pivotal role in helping the team achieve a 10-win season, the highest win total since 2018. Additionally, his impact helped the team score 71 goals, the most since the 2011 squad that advanced to the state quarterfinals.
Colten Palma

Senior soccer player Colten Palma played a pivotal role in helping the Poplar Bluff Mules soccer team have a historic season. The Mules finished with a 15-6 record on the season, which is their best record in the last seven seasons. Palama finished the season with 10 goals and 10 assists for the Mules.
PJ Farmer
