2024 Baseball Finalists

Levi McKinnie

An unforgettable part of Chaffee baseball history, Levi McKinnie made his name known a long time ago. But with an unreal senior stretch, appearing in five playoff games including a win-earning start in the third-place game to conclude a legendary prep career.

Gabe Dirnberger

The senior was dominant on the mound, compiling a perfect 7-0 record with a 0.677 ERA and striking out 46 batters. Dirnberger was also a threat at the plate, hitting .279 with 17 hits, including three doubles and two home runs, while driving in 18 runs and scoring 17. His all-around performance earned him first-team Class 1 All-State honors from the Missouri Baseball Coaches Association and All-Scott-Mississippi Conference recognition.

Cooper Rhodes

After Jackson’s third-place finish in 2023, Cooper Rhodes continued his success streak with a mighty junior season, becoming one of the Indians’ most reliable bats as they maintained their reputation as one of the area’s top teams.

Mason Adams

The senior shortstop led the Bulldogs to final four appearances in 2022 and 2023 while setting state records in career triples (20) and ranking third in hits (186). In his final season, Adams hit .404 with 46 hits, including seven doubles, six triples, and two home runs. He also drove in 39 runs and scored 43. On the mound, Adams contributed a 3-0 record with a 0.706 ERA and 36 strikeouts. The Bootheel Conference Player of the Year will continue his baseball career at Mineral Area College.

Ashton Williams

The right-handed hurler and University of Arkansas at Little Rock commit had an outstanding season earning All-SEMO Conference honors and helping his team reach the semifinal of the Class 4 District 1 Tournament.

Kobe Watson

Kobe Watson’s junior campaign helped shape Scott City into one of the best small schools in all of Missouri, and despite the early playoff exit, it was one to remember for the Rams. One of Scott City’s most reliable bats, he earned a reputation as a driving force behind the Rams’ success.

Troy O’Keefe

One of the biggest names up north on a tough Perryville team, Troy O’Keefe’s junior season helped him become one of the top two-way talents in all of Southeast Missouri. The Pirates made big strides in the spring, largely behind the talent of O’Keefe both on the bump and in the box.

Noah Johnson

The junior hurler played a pivotal role in the Eagles' success, guiding them to their second district championship in three years and their fourth in program history. Johnson finished with a 9-2 record, a 2.13 ERA, and 106 strikeouts over 62.1 innings. He also made significant contributions at the plate, hitting .283 with eight doubles, a triple, two home runs, 20 RBIs, and 33 runs scored.

Ross Peters

Peters proved to be a key contributor for Kelly, leading the Hawks to an unexpected Class 3, District 2 Championship despite a challenging 13-16 season. The junior’s pitching prowess was evident as he compiled a 5-4 record with a 1.635 ERA and 70 strikeouts over 55.2 innings. He also provided offensive firepower, hitting .317 with 26 hits, including five doubles, while driving in 12 runs and scoring 15. Peters' all-around performance earned him First Team All-Scott Mississippi Conference and First Team All-District honors.

Kolby Greenwall

Senior Kolby Greenwall was SEMO All-Conference Baseball Player of the Year and closed out the regular season with a batting average of .516 with 48 hits. He collected 34 singles, five doubles, eight triples, three home runs and 34 RBIs. After collecting his 39th hit of the season, Greenwall now holds the Mules hit record for a single season. Greenwall collected his 31st single, breaking the single-season record.
