2023 Girls Tennis Finalists
Claire Bean/Handley McAtee
Kennett/Holcomb
Bean and McAtee won the individual Class 1 State Doubles Championship and went 33-1 in doubles play. Neither Bean nor McAtee gave up a set until the postseason and their only loss came to North County in team sectionals.
Kaitlyn Booker
Poplar Bluff
Only a sophomore, Booker became the first Lady Mules tennis player to advance to the state tournament almost two decades back in the fall. More than that, she also captured the school’s first district singles title in girls tennis since 2011.
Suna Mungee/Vita Galati
Notre Dame
The duo of Mungee and Galati made it all the way to the Class 2 state quarterfinals and will return in 2023 for their senior season.
Megan Maxton/Maria Mijangos
Cape Central
The doubles pair of Maxton and Mijangos played together all season long and it resulted in a fourth place finish in Class 2 state for the duo.
Margaret Hillin/Abigail Haley
Saxony Lutheran
Hillin and Haley finished seventh at the Class 1 State Doubles Tournament in 2022 as sophomores. The pair will look to build off their success as they head into 2023.
