2021 Boys Track and Field Finalists

The senior came out for track for the first time and had an incredible season, as he won the MSHSAA Class 2 state championship in both the 300-meter hurdles, as well as the long jump. He was also a medalist in the 400- and 800-meter relay events.
Jaden Deaton
Poplar Bluff
The senior raced to the front of the pack in winning the MSHSAA Class 5 state championship in the 3,200-meter race after entering the meet as the seventh seed.
Jadarius Pigg

The senior placed second in the MSHSAA Class 5 110-meter hurdles, as well as fourth in the 300-meter hurdle event. He also leaped to a 16th-place finish in the long jump and helped the Mules’ mile relay squad place 15th.
Evan Bruenderman
Notre Dame
The senior took first place in the MSHSAA Class 3 boys triple jump, defeating the second-place finishers by more than two feet. In addition, he earned All-State honors in the long jump and 800-meter relay, finishing sixth and fourth, respectively.
Luke Nichols

The senior won the MSHSAA Class 2 state title in the javelin by smoking the competition by over 20 feet.
