2015 Boys Swimming and Diving Finalists
Brogan Davis
Cape Central freshman
Davis made a splash during his freshman season for the Tigers, finishing in the Top 4 in a pair of individual events at the state meet. He came in second place in the 100 butterfly and fourth in the 100 backstroke, and was also part of Central’s state-qualifying 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
Jack Gard
Jackson sophomore
Freestyle was Gard’s best event with titles in the 200 and 500 at the Show Me Conference meet. He qualified for state in the 500 freestyle, where he finished 26th in 5:06.71.
Sam Hahs
Cape Central freshman
Hahs turned in a memorable freshman season, qualifying for state in two individual events and two relays. He finished 23rd in the 100 butterfly and 27th in the 500 freestyle. He was a member of the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
Austin Hobbs
Jackson senior
Hobbs finished his high school career at the state meet, where he had qualified individually in two events. He claimed 11th in the 100 backstroke and finished 31st in the 50 freestyle. He was Show Me Conference meet champion in the 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle.
Joey Janisse
Jackson senior
Janisse concluded his high school swim career with an all-state finish, touching the wall seventh in the 200 individual medley in 1:56.71. He also competed at state in the 200 medley relay with teammates Austin Hobbs, Jack Gard and Tra Statler.
