2018 Golf Finalists

Peyton Bell

Returning to the list of finalists for a second straight year, Bell shot a 160 at the Class 1 boys state tournament to finish tied for eighth and garner all-state honors. He also finished tied for second at the sectional competition and was the Class 1 District 2 medalist.

Tanner Walton

Walton stood out even on a talented and balanced Indians squad, which he helped to a fourth-place team finish at the Class 4 State Championship boys tournament. Individually, he tied for ninth at the event with a 149 to claim all-state recognition. The junior was also the Class 4 District 1 medalist with an even-par 72, and during the regular season was co-medalist at the Farmington Invitational.

Sarah Bell

If there was any question about what Bell would do for an encore as a senior, she answered it. The reigning Semoball Awards Golfer of the Year and three-time finalist won a second consecutive Class 1 girls state championship in the fall, shooting 2-under and winning by five strokes to help the Bulldogs to a team state title. She was second at the sectional tournament and won the district tournament. She found that form despite missing a chunk of the season with a back injury. Bell will continue her golf career at Oral Roberts.

Allison Bray

Bray was the other half of Notre Dame’s one-two punch, as she helped her team to a state championship with a runner-up finish at the Class 1 girls tournament in the fall. She shot 1-over to finish as medalist at the sectional tournament and was second at districts, behind only her teammate Bell. Bray will continue her golf career at Missouri State.

Nathan Woolard

A two-time Semoball Awards finalist, the Mules senior posted the highest state finish in the spring, finishing an all-state fifth at the Class 4 boys tournament with a score of 146. He was sixth at the sectional meet, and during the regular season was SEMO Conference medalist with a 1-under 71.
