2017 Golf Finalists

Peyton Bell

Bell becomes the first Wildcat to earn a nomination in golf after a breakout season as a junior. He finished second at the district tournament, shooting 11-over-par, before putting together an outstanding effort at the Class 1 state tournament, where he shot 12-over in fourth for an all-state finish.

Jonathan Bell

Bell continued a strong tradition of Notre Dame golf as the senior returns to the Semoball Awards finalists after also earning a nod two years ago as a sophomore. This time around, Bell was third at the sectional tournament and finished 26th at the Class 3 state competition. He also won the Poplar Bluff Invitational.

Nathan Woolard

Woolard is back in the SBA mix for a second consecutive year after another standout performance for the Mules. Woolard picked up medalist honors at the SEMO Conference Tournament, where he shot 2-over-par, and the Jackson Invitational (1-over). In postseason competition, Woolard was second at the district tournament and tied for fifth at Class 4 state.

Sarah Bell

The junior compiled a season to remember as she used individual achievement to help the Bulldogs to a team state championship. Among her achievements were a second-place finish at district, shooting even par to win the sectional tournament and then a dominant effort at the Class 1 state tourney, winning the event by eight strokes with a 2-over-par.

Allison Bray

Bray was a key piece to the Bulldogs’ team success this season, as Notre Dame won a team state title. The junior shot a 2-under-par to become district champion, then finished third at the sectional tournament and third at the Class 1 state event.
