Hilburn won the Class 1 District 1 singles title and advanced to the state championships after compiling an 18-3 record. She was the No. 2 singles player for Kennett, which also advanced to the state championships as a team.
Notre Dame sophomore
Hopkins was the No. 1 singles player for the Bulldogs this season and compiled a 10-1 record. She paired with teammate Reagan Kapp to finish seventh in the Class 1 doubles competition at state.
Notre Dame senior
Kapp earned a 7-4 singles record as Notre Dame’s No. 2 and combined with Carly Hopkins to earn the Bulldogs’ best state finish in their program’s short history by finishing seventh in the Class 1 doubles competition.
Cape Central sophomore
Powell earned her spot as the Tigers’ No. 1 singles player this season, meaning she always faced the best the opposing team had to offer. The sophomore finished with a winning record at 12-11 in this role.
Shetley was the No. 1 singles player for the Indians this season and a member of their No. 1 doubles team. She advanced to the state singles tournament with an 18-3 record and was vital to Kennett’s run to state as a team.
